3. Provision and Outsourcing of Personal Information to Third Parties

A transfer of data to third parties only takes place within the scope of the legal requirements and only to the extent described in data privacy statement. We will only transfer data to third parties in accordance with PIPA.

Korea Branch exercises strict management and supervision over these outsourced processors to ensure that they handle personal information in compliance with PIPA. The outsourcing agreements stipulate required technical and administrative safeguards, prohibit unauthorized processing of personal information, restrict further subcontracting, and include provisions for compensation for damages arising from breaches. As the outsourcing party, Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch remains ultimately responsible for the protection of personal information and ensures the outsourced processors adhere to all relevant legal requirements.

4. Retention Period

Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch basically retains your personal data for the retention period notified above. However, Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch keeps the information that is subject to a certain period of time separately under the law and does not use the information for any purpose, other than fulfilling the retention obligation. 6. Destruction of Personal Information

Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch will promptly destroy personal data once its purpose is fulfilled or the retention period expires, unless retention is mandated by other laws or regulations.

7. Data security

All personal data, including payment data, is transmitted using industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. SSL is a secure, tried-and-tested standard which is also used in online banking, for example. You can identify a secure SSL connection by the prefix "https" (i.e. https://...) in the address bar of your browser, or by the padlock symbol in the lower part of your browser window.

Furthermore, we employ appropriate technical and security measures to protect the personal data we have stored against manipulation, partial or complete loss and unauthorised third-party access. Our security measures are continuously enhanced in line with technological advancement.

8. Your Rights

Overview

As well as your right to revoke any consent you have given to us, you are afforded the following additional rights where the relevant statutory requirements are met:

Right to revoke consent / to request suspension of processing

The exercise of rights can be carried out through an agent, such as the user’s legal representative or a person entrusted with authority. In such cases, Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch will confirm whether the person requesting access is the information subject himself or herself or a legitimate representative.

In accordance with Article 35, Paragraph 4, and Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the PIPA, requests for access to or suspension of the processing of personal information may be refused. In such cases, Jungheinrich Lift Truck Singapore Pte. Ltd. Korea Branch will promptly inform the user of the reason.

We do not collect sensitive information, such as race, place of origin, ideology, political views, criminal records, health status, and similar data that may infringe on the basic human rights of users, except with your express consent or as permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
